We’re on a roll. The course is becoming increasingly popular, so I’m running it now every few months. The next series starts on 2nd November and will happen for six weeks on Monday evenings. If you would like to join us, just click on the link below…

The world is changing

Who would have thought a year ago that the world could change so much, so quickly? And yet, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted us all in so many different ways – probably permanently.
Lockdown, social distancing, unemployment, bereavement and other losses have affected us, not just physically and materially, but mentally and emotionally as well.
We all need support
We all need to find support, encouragement and hope for the future. So as part of my contribution I have developed a six-session course called Lasting Happiness (also the name of the book I published a couple of years ago). I’ve piloted it a number of times and it seems to have been very well received – participation and responses have been very encouraging.
Anyone can participate
Of course the great thing about conferencing platforms like Zoom is that anyone can participate wherever they live (two of the earlier courses were run out of Japan!). So it’s been great to engage with people from very different backgrounds and cultures.
I will therefore run it again in November, and this letter is your invitation to be involved!
What’s it all about?

To give you some idea, here are the titles of each session:
- The Happy Life: what’s that all about?
- The Good Life: upsides & downsides – the search for more
- How we perceive the world – and ourselves
- Longing for more: the limits of happiness – we’re looking for more
- Relationships: how they work and how to repair them
- Meaning: can we find it?
